EMC Testing

Fast scheduling, internationally accepted test reports, and certification support throughout the compliance process.

EMC Testing

EMC testing services

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing verifies that electronic products operate reliably in their intended electromagnetic environment. It ensures that your product does not generate excessive interference and remains functional when exposed to external electromagnetic disturbances.

EMC testing is required for market access under CE marking, FCC Part 15, and other international approval schemes. Well-executed testing also reduces redesign cycles and helps avoid delays late in product development.

At EKTOS TRS, EMC testing is part of a broader type testing and approvals management setup, supporting compliance and reliability across global markets.

Why EKTOS

Why work with EKTOS for EMC testing

Two fully equipped EMC laboratories in Denmark provide flexible scheduling and reduced waiting times.

EMC testing can be combined with environmental, mechanical, vibration, and safety testing as part of a single approval process.

Efficient test setups and experienced staff allow high-quality testing without unnecessary overhead.

Clients may attend tests on site or follow progress remotely.

Testing is performed by engineers with real-world electronics test experience, enabling practical troubleshooting rather than purely pass/fail reporting, with first level support from the test team and more complex support from our in-house development team.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Before the test, we need to know which standard to test against and enough information about the product to define the scope. You are always welcome to contact us so we can discuss it.

No. You are welcome on site, and you can also follow the test remotely. For complex projects we use an iterative approach and explore the challenges together with our clients.

It depends on the product and the scope of testing required. Most EMC tests are completed within one to two weeks.

The test engineer contacts you to discuss the next steps. That may mean stopping the test, debugging the issue, or continuing in order to get a complete picture of the EMC performance.

Yes. Low level support is handled by a test engineer. High level support is available from our development department.

We work with a broad range of standards. Our accredited scope is available on the DANAK website under EKTOS TRS. If you need testing to a standard that is not listed, send us your request and we will look into it.

Yes, we can.

Yes. We test a wide range of wireless products, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GSM, LTE and short range devices.
