EKTOS is hosting an industry briefing in Copenhagen focused on the development of next-generation smart machinery electronics, addressing how companies can better manage electronics development, testing, and production under increasing technical and commercial pressure.
Across Danish and international industry, manufacturers of industrial machinery are facing rising demands for functionality, connectivity, and regulatory compliance, while development timelines continue to shorten and supply chains remain volatile. At the same time, electronics platforms are expected to remain in production and service for 10–20 years, placing greater importance on early design decisions.
The briefing will focus on how electronics development, compliance, and production readiness can be handled as an integrated process rather than separate activities. Topics include designing electronics platforms that deliver long-term value, understanding why compliance issues still arise late in development despite well-established standards, and identifying whether a design is truly production-ready or dependent on specific components or suppliers.
Drawing on practical experience from EKTOS engineers and industrial customers, the session will present concrete examples from real development projects within industrial automation, machinery, instrumentation, energy systems, connectivity, and other high-reliability applications. The emphasis is on reducing late redesigns, improving predictability, and securing long-term value in industrial electronics projects.
The event, titled “Development of Next-Generation Smart Machinery: Optimized Development, Testing, and Production of Electronics,” will take place on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 9:00 to 12:00 at IDA Conference, Kalvebod Brygge, Copenhagen. Doors open at 8:30 with coffee and light refreshments. All presentations will be delivered in English.
