Geopolitical shifts are influencing where and how electronics are designed, manufactured, and brought to market. These changes bring both opportunities and risks for companies working in Europe’s electronics ecosystem.

At EOT 2025, EKTOS’ Managing Director Niels Martin Jørgensen will share his perspective on these critical developments in a talk titled “The Influence of Geopolitics on Electronics Design and Manufacturing in Europe.”

Drawing on nearly two decades of experience with EKTOS across Denmark and Eastern Europe, he will discuss why regionalized production is becoming increasingly necessary, how design and sourcing strategies are adapting to global risk, and the unique opportunities and challenges that Eastern Europe presents.

A key focus of the session will be Ukraine’s emerging role in the global electronics value chain. With its engineering talent, growing infrastructure, and strategic position, Ukraine is poised to become an important hub for design and manufacturing within a restructured European supply chain.

This speech is for anyone keen on practical insights on how to navigate the new landscape of electronics development and manufacturing.
